Year of New Beginnings 2016
Our Mission and Outreach activities have been themed since 2013 starting with our Year of the Family. In 2014 we followed that with a Year of Friendship and last year was our Year of Challenge. Our theme for 2016 is New Beginnings.
God's love for us is demonstrated very clearly by his forgiveness of our sins and that allows us New Beginnings. God wants everyone to have a New Beginning in a relationship with him through Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord and King. God asks us to pray and listen to Him and He is always with us, offering us those New Beginnings. What we need to do is to respond.
Our choice of this theme is to remind us of God's blessings and so that we can give ourselves and those around us New Beginnings too. This isn't the same as the New Year's resolutions that often have a short lived existence. New Beginnings means setting things on a strong foundation and in a direction that they can sustain. If we consider for a few moments the parts of our lives where we want New Beginnings, then there are likely to be plenty to go at.
New Beginnings in our faith and belief in God's love for us, should be at the top of the list, so that through Him and His wisdom and blessings, He can really help us to make progress in all the areas where we want New Beginnings.
The Mission and Outreach activities in 2016 are there to give us the opportunities to engage in New Beginnings in our faith journey and how we might invite others to have New Beginnings and share in our faith, through spreading the Gospel message and prayerfully following Jesus in our daily lives.
The dates and details of our New Beginnings events will be added to the Events & Activities page - please click the link on the left to find out more.
We hope that you will want to explore New Beginnings and come along to these events, or come to our Church to find out more. Everyone is welcome.
