Lent Acts 2nd-5th March – Serve (Love) your neighbour

You may like to pick one suggestion each week or try to complete them all it’s completely up to you we just encourage you to ACT.

2nd-5th March – Serve (Love) your neighbour

-How often do you say ‘hi’ to your neighbours? Take that moment where you meet and spend time getting to know them a little more. Know them well already? Then invite them for coffee or a meal.

-Clear your schedule for an hour to serve someone. Ask them what they need doing or what would help them most.

-Leave something anonymously for someone you know: a coffee on a desk, an encouraging note taped to their car, a box of pastries left in the shared kitchen.

-Let someone know you’re available to help. Tell them you’d be up for checking in with regular texts. Or even let them know they can call on you for anything, from having you on speed dial to going along with them to an event.

“The Queen has served her country and Commonwealth for 70 years. To honour her, let’s join together in 70 Acts of Service during 2022. We’ve loads of ideas to help you to get your village, town or city involved.”

We’ve grouped together suggestions of ways to serve for each week in lent from the Platinum Jubilee Website

Perhaps during Lent we can make a dint into the suggested 70 acts of service before the Jubilee in June!
