Friday 23rd September will see the return of the biennial Table Tennis Marathon which is undertaken by the combined Boys' Brigade and Girls' Brigade companies of Matlock.
The marathon begins at 7:00pm on Friday evening and concludes at Noon on Saturday with Table Tennis being played continuously, on at least one table, right through the whole night from beginning to end.
On the Saturday morning 24th September between 10:00am and Noon there is a Coffee Morning with cakes / buns / biscuits for sale and during which, play will continue and you can join in with keeping the game being played, which is really fun.
This year 50% of the monies raised will be put towards the running costs and resources of the Brigades and the other 50% will be donated to Action for Children (Chesterfield) who are focusing their activities on supporting Derbyshire families where children are experiencing mental health difficulties or are affected by substance abuse.
