Following the Civic Service that was held in the Imperial Rooms led by Minister Rev. Helen Penfold and with the catering provided by MMURC members, Mayor Steve Wain sent a message of thanks to those involved.
Thank you to Helen, Alan and all those Matlock Methodist and United Reform Church Members who helped to make the Matlock Mayors Civic Service such a great success.
Helen provided an inspirational service which was very well received by all those who attended. The Boys and Girls Brigade, led by Tom and Yvonne provided an insight into what our beautiful town means to them and also assisted with a collection for Ukraine which realised £430.
Finally, a huge thank you to all those who baked cakes and scones and helped with serving on the day. There was enough food to feed the 5000.
You all did the Church and the town proud.
